Well shiver me timbers, another one bites the dust!!!

Ahoy there me hearties, it has been a long and busy month for me. For one thing, blog tours are hard work, but absolutely amazing. I had a most fabulous time during my recent stint with Bewitching Book Tours, who did a marvellous job of publicising me and my book. The overall response was amazing and I am so thrilled that so many new fans have been reached and thankful that my work is being received well by critics.

But let me tell you something, I have been having one hell of a roller-coaster ride with technology. For one thing - I HATE COMPUTERS - yes it is true. In the space of a month, two hard-drives crashed and died on me taking files that I thought had been transferred onto my portable device along with them to lappy hell.

Major tantrums and crying sessions ensued and I was on a notable downer for a whole month.

So in a sense, I was reverted back to the old ways of pen and paper and only transferring data when needed or when my editor demands new pages to read. All this chaos has left me behind my work schedule and has interfered with the publication of my second book, and to top it all off, I have to re-work from chapters lost.

Needless to say playing catch-up is playing havoc with my private life, oh and to top it all off, I am ill! Yes, you heard me, I am suffering early seasonal flu. I can honestly say that it has been a trying few months, but dammit to hell, I will not let the gremlins of the world of technology bring me down -I WILL PREVAIL!!!

BUT, not everything has been a battle. My husband and  I found out that we are to be parents again, and the baby is due in late March and we couldn't be more happy. Yes, life does like to throw curve balls every once in a while, but this little gem is for keeps and I am totally in love with my little baby.

So remember guys, you can pick up your eBook copy of In The Shadows today and support me as I get ready for the publication of book two - Walking With Shadows.

Until the next time, be good, be safe and more importantly, do something that thrills the cockles of your heat.

Ciao :)

  2. Let me first expand my lungs sufficiently to do justice to the phrase "Congratulations to you both" delightful news and I am so pleased for you. I regret the demise of your technology but I don't doubt you will come out the wiser for it (if perhaps a little greyer). I must admit to the occasional lapse to paper and ink (hence my blog being called Feather and Parchment) and find the experience quite tactile and pleasing. Looking forward to your next book with baited breath and will be among the first assailants to gorge on it. Glad you enjoyed your tour may you continue to thrive.

  3. Congratulations to you and the mister! But with all this, it shows your determination and it pays off when you produce such brilliant work in your top class and top rate novels. One of the best authors out there!
